At the beginning of Home Tours, passengers gather on a sightseeing bus in Budapest, who, strangely enough, are not foreign tourists, but – with one exception – Hungarians: locals from Budapest, returnees, people coming back to settle, and even some who arrived for work purposes... The bus deviates from the route advertised in the brochure even before the first stop, taking passengers on a vibrant inner journey, during which everyone primarily discovers themselves, and only secondarily the city (and their fellow passengers). Among other things, we find out why the shy Andi became a tour guide if she's so shy.
We might say that Home Tours is a hilarious absurd story, but the real question is, in today’s world, does it make sense to describe anything as "absurd"? After all, what isn’t, right?
